TFL welcomes new CEO

The TFL Group welcomes its new CEO Dr. Wolfgang Schütt as of March 2021.

TFL is pleased to announce Dr. Wolfgang Schütt will be leading the TFL Group as CEO as of March 2021. Dr. Schütt joins TFL from Altana AG, where he is currently leading the global division ECKART Effect Pigments with a turnover of € 360 million and 1,700 employees. ECKART is a global chemical company and operates mainly in the automotive, industrial coatings, printing and cosmetics industries. Dr. Schütt is a chemist by education and additionally holds a business degree. He started his career at Wacker Chemie GmbH in the Silicones Division and has held several positions in Marketing & Sales, including close to 4 years in the United States. Following a spell at Degussa AG (Food Ingredients Division), Dr. Schütt joined Altana AG in 2005 where he lead the division ELANTAS Electrical Insulation, with a turnover of approximately € 400 million, until 2012 before taking over the CEO position of ECKART Effect pigments.

TFL announced its acquisition of LANXESS leather chemicals in August 2020. The acquisition remains subject to approval by various competition authorities, but is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021. The TFL Group is pleased to have secured an experienced leader to guide the company through a period of substantial change and to continue TFL's successful business story.
