TFL is pleased to announce the launch of MAGNOPAL® Pure A, an environmental-friendly, film-forming bio-polymer based on vegetable biomass.

TFL is pleased to announce the launch of MAGNOPAL® Pure A, an environmental-friendly, film-forming bio-polymer based on vegetable biomass. It is produced with sustainable chemistry and therefore free of acrylates, formaldehyde, phenol and naphthalene. The bio content (BC) of the dry matters in MAGNOPAL® Pure A reaches a staggering 93% using the DIN EN 16785-2 material balance method. It has not only been designed to substitute fossil fuel-based polymers, but also offers interesting, economic application features for a wide range of different leather articles.

MAGNOPAL® Pure A is a primary ingredient of the wet-end process. It can be combined with other products from the "TFL Pure-range" aiming for articles with a very low impact on the environment such as:

  • CORIPOL® Pure L Fatliquoring agent for soft leathers based on phospholipids (BC=79%)
  • CORIPOL® Pure V Fatliquoring agent for tight leathers based on vegetable seeds (BC=82%)
  • CORIPOL® Pure F Fatliquoring agent for soft leathers based on aquatic biomass (BC=91%)
  • SELLASOL® Pure H Liq Retanning agent based on animal – and vegetable hydrolysates (BC=97%)
  • SELLASOL® Pure M Filling agent based on bio-protein (BC=100%)

MAGNOPAL® Pure A is suitable for all kinds of leather articles such as lightweight articles, shoe and leather goods, waterproof leathers, automotive and upholstery leathers as well as garment and glove leathers.

MAGNOPAL® Pure A improves the tightness of the fibre structure and is therefore also suitable for retanning fine and smooth grain articles with even grain break after milling. It enhances shade intensity, levelness and defect coverage in the retaining process.

The TFL Pure range helps tanneries to reduce their impact on the environment and manufacture high performance leather articles with a high sustainability profile.
