Think! expands into Switzerland

Upper Austrian shoe manufacturer Think! continues to expand. Just now the first Think! store in Switzerland has opened. The sustainably produced shoes are as of now available in Thun in the Bernese Oberland. Further new openings are planned for 2018. The store operated by a partner is the 26th worldwide.

Chinas shoe exports slightly on the rise

According to the leather industry association the Chinese shoe manufacturers have achieved a turnover of more than 120 billion US Dollars in the past year. This is a growth of 4.4 percent compared to previous year. Thus, 9.6 billion pairs of shoes worth 45.6 billion Dollars have been exported. This means a growth of 3.7 percent in volume and 1.7 percent in value.

Zara shoe turnover remains static

In 2017, the turnover of Tempe, the shoe factory of the Spanish Inditex group, has slightly grown by 0.6 percent to 1.246 billion Euros. Simultaneously the net profit declined by 14 percent to 81 million Euros.

Online shoe turnover achieves two-digit growth again

The online shoe turnover in Germany has risen in the first quarter by 11.4 percent to 970 million Euros. This figure has been announced by the federal association e-commerce and mail order (bevh). Garment continues to be popular amongst German users as well. 6.1 percent growth compared to previous year demonstrate this. The corresponding turnover rose to 2.743 billion Euros. In the past year the online shoe turnover rose by 7.1 percent to 3.835 billion Euros.

Premiere for ModEurop Colour Conference

On 10th April, the creative people of the international shoe and accessories league met in the trend metropolis Berlin. Directed be the new creative team, the trend agency nextguruNow, the ModEurop has invited to the first Colour Conference. Within the inspiring atmosphere of the AMD, Academy Fashion and Design, the colour choice and fabrication of the leather colour card for the autumn/winter 2019/20 season were in the centre of attention. It will be available at the DSI in Offenbach mid-May. The next ModEurop Colour Conference will take place in October.
