Ultra Violet will be the colour of the year

The colour institute Pantone has presented the colour of the year 2018. The chosen colour is “Pantone 18-3838 Ultra Violet”. During the entire year, the Pantone colour experts have traced colour trends worldwide in art, fashion and design, the entertainment industry and many other life sectors to be able to make this choice. “The Pantone colour of the year means so much more than what is “in” in the design world. It reflects the interests of today’s world”, says Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Colour Institute. After a fresh green in the year 2017 and rose quartz in the year 2016, the choice for 2018 fell on a more intense colour with ultra violet. “The balanced and dramatically provocative lilac shade expresses originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking” and will thus be the trend colour of the coming year according to the colour experts.

300 exhibitors will attend the I.L.M
