Chinese Emission GB / T27630
The chinese government is defining a new national standard specifying different concentration limits for eight VOC’s emitted by components used in car interiors.Acetaldehyde in automotive leathers is the biggest challenge within the eight VOC’s of GB / T27630. Acetaldehyde has a very low boiling point and is highly water soluble; nevertheless it may occur in leather and can be detected in emission tests, such as TSM0508G:2009 & TIS 01204-00351A.
How to control acetaldehyde in leather?
Acetaldehyde isn’t used in the synthesis of TFL products, however, small amounts may be found with extraction methods. Therefore TFL has selected products to be used from beamhouse to finishing which allow leather production witha significant reduction in acetaldehyde, such as:
