Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide legal advice and support for our domestic and foreign companies in all questions of commercial, corporate and contract law
- Drafting, revising and reviewing license, service and collaboration agreements together with internal business stakeholders
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Coordinate with and provide advice to business stakeholders on contracts, contract related aspects and contract compliance. Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
- Continuously improve contract-related processes and policies and support business management in the planning and implementation of such improvements
- Provide legal advisory services and support departments and functions across all areas of the company
- Regularly conduct legal research with respect to changes and regulatory updates
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
- Provide internal training on contracts. Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
- Support and specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Apply effective risk management techniques and advise on possible legal issues proactively
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), and create trustful relationships
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
- Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
Education/Qualifications:
- 3 – 5+ years of experience as an attorney, in-house counsel or similar role
- BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree
- Experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment
- Track record of managing and solving a wide range of complex legal matters in a business context
- Full understanding of the influences of the external environment of a corporation
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
- Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
- High levels of accuracy, conscientiousness and attention to detail
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English and German
- MA or BSc in Business Administration will be considered an advantage
