Position purpose:

The HR Training and Development Manager is responsible for identifying the organization's training requirements, develop training programs and support the career development of the worldwide TFL group. Additionally, you are defining the recruitment process and overall talent acquisition strategy. You will be training our employees, plan and administer training seminars, and manage conflict resolution, team building, and employee skill evaluations. You will support the Performance Management Process and the Leadership Team worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Act as pulse-generator for the development and use of modern personnel instruments for future-oriented change and organizational development
  • You develop strategic concepts, standards and processes targeted at organizational development (e.g. leadership culture, global competency management, talent management, succession planning)
  • You manage company-wide projects and programs, considering economic, organizational and strategic goals
  • You define, report and measure the relevant KPIs
  • You advise and support the group companies in implementing global solutions
  • You cooperate closely with the CEO, Executives and HR Heads
  • You support and advice our management team on operational HR and recruiting topics and on the further development and implementation of HR processes
  • You supervise our team regarding operational HR activities, such as Onboarding and Training Management
  • You co-design our Employer Branding profile in close coordination with PR (HR marketing), the management and develop measures for Employee Loyalty
  • You are responsible for the entire recruiting process with the primary goal of positioning TFL as a highly attractive employer
  • You actively source candidates via various media and maintain of our talent pool
  • You create job advertisements and place them on internal and external platforms
  • You conduct phone interviews and job interviews independently and are responsible for the candidate assessment
  • You act as the first point of contact for our applicants and as the central interface to colleagues
  • You are responsible for the organization, planning and implementation of trade fairs and develop university partnerships
  • You identify key positions and key people for succession planning

Learning & Development:

  • You are responsible for the Training of all employees
  • You develop a Competency Management framework for key positions based on joint values and role objectives
  • You identify, develop and implement the right learning approaches for TFL and provide input for regions
  • You conduct Development NeedsAassessments with top management for themselves and their key positions
  • You analyze and manage global training costs and effectively differentiate global vs. local program responsibilities


  • 5+ years of professional experience in personnel and organizational development, ideally in an international environment
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or comparable field of study
  • You have experience in managing global projects around learning & development, organizational development and talent acquisition
  • You have extensive knowledge in accompanying change processes / projects as well as experience in the conception and implementation of innovative personnel development tools
  • You have excellent communication skills across all levels of the hierarchy
  • You have outstanding analytical and strategic skills, a high level of commitment and implementation skills
  • You are willing to work independently as well as in a team and have fun developing new concepts
  • You enjoy using agile methods and working with people
  • You are interculturally competent
  • Your English skills are on a business level
  • You have the necessary drive, energy and motivation to build up the L&D structures of a global company
  • You have a business sense and understanding for different development needs based on business requirements
  • You have expertise in people development and in HR processes and L&D related KPIs
  • You have project management experience
  • You have facilitation skills and empathy
  • You have excellent MS Office skills (ppt, xls, etc.)
