To guarantee maximum transparency, TFL launched the TFL WHITE LINE SYSTEM consisting of specially selected chemicals that are required to produce the appropriate leather type for certification.
Even though leather is generally a safe material and is rarely reported to contain potentially harmful substances, the end user’s loss of product confidence has motivated TFL to introduce the WHITE LINE system; ensuring that leather made with this system meets the stringent limits and parameters for harmful substances.
WHITE LINE gives the customer peace of mind knowing the leathers meet rigid standards for harmful substances, are dermatologically tested and environmentally compatible.
WHITE LINE producers are entitled to offer their customers, end product manufacturers and retailers a label which guarantees that WHITE LINE leathers comply with the test specifications of the TÜV (Technical Inspection Associations of Germany).
- The TFL WHITE LINE SYSTEM and the TFL/TÜV label are intended to demonstrate the company’s responsibility to the leather industry, leather goods manufacturers and end users by the provision of a unique system. The aim of this joint effort is to emphasize that leather is still the best material for the production of shoes and leather goods from the consumer’s point of view.
