Dr. Peter Amann

Dr. Peter Amann, born 1956 in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, is married and has a son and a daughter.
After completing studies at the Wirtschaftsgymnasium in Mannheim, he went on to take chemistry at Karlsruhe University (TH), receiving his diploma and doctorate in 1988.
In the same year he joined Ciba-Geigy AG Basel to work on the development of leather chemicals. After three years in R&D he moved to the Marketing Department of the BU Leather and was transferred to Ciba-Geigy Japan in Takarazuka. In the following three years he developed the markets in both Korea and Japan. In order to prepare the sales channel for the new JV with Stockhausen GmbH and Rohm GmbH he was assigned to reorganize the sales channels in Asia Pacific, appointing the necessary dealers and distributors and, where necessary, setting up Legal Units for TFL Hong Kong Ltd., TFL Thailand Ltd., TFL Japan KK, Qingdao TFL Chemicals Company and TFL Australia.
After 7 years in Hong Kong he returned to Europe to supervise Production, Research and Purchasing.
From 2004 to 2006 he headed the Wet-End West Division and was responsible for Sales, Marketing, Production and the Supply Chain for the Group. Since April 2007 he has been Managing Director for the TFL Group, in which capacity he oversees the Supply Chain, Marketing, Purchasing and the Legal Units in Asia Pacific. >> contact
