More than state-of-the-art waterproofing technology:
the optimised combination of fatlquor and polymer to satisfy the highest demands for both water repellency and leather quality.
The TFL DRYWALK® SYSTEM is a synergistic system of 2 products:
DRYWALK® FAT
- main waterproofing fatliquor
- high effect also if used alone
- makes soft leather
- typical fatliquor touch
DRYWALK® POL
- waterproofing polymer
- high effect in combination with DRYWALK® FAT
- can partly replace DRYWALK® FATs
- makes tighter and less soft
- typical silky polymer touch
The hydrophobing fatliquor, DRYWALK® FAT, offers significantly improved pH and electrolyte stability. The newly developed formulation comprising a special emulsifier system that retains the waterproofing effect will ensure a reliable and stable process.
DRYWALK® FAT characteristics
- newly developed formulation of hydrophobic oils and fatty substances
- contains a special type of silicone so far not used in leather industry
- new emulsifier system that retains waterproofing effect
- formulation protected by TFL patent
- very good pH and electrolyte stability
The novel acrylic polymer, DRYWALK® POL, is totally free of solvents, solubilising agents or emulsifiers. A special production technology ensures a very fine emulsion.

- special monomers that create a self-emulsifying effect
- totally free of solvents, solubilising agents or emulsifiers
- special production technology ensures very fine emulsion
- low viscosity (1 000 mPa s)
- very uniform distribution in float and leather
The TFL DRYWALK® SYSTEM helps you to make many kinds of waterproof leather easily. Yet, offering a pleasant, silky touch.
The homogeneous distribution of the drywalk components provides an outstanding dyeability and levelness in both penetration and top-dyeing.
